How do I cancel my order?
If it’s placed within an hour, please contact our customer service team via email: info@bluejacar.com.au and we may be able to assist with your order  cancellation.
Unfortunately, if it’s informed after 1 working day, we will not able to accommodate any cancellation requests as order might have been packed & ready to be collected by courier.
If your order has been loaded / posted and you’re still keen on cancelling the order, you are advised to inform the rider that you would like to reject the parcel upon delivery. Once the parcel is returned to our office, we’ll proceed refund to you.
 

SHIPPING

How much is your delivery fees?
Flat rate shipping fee within Australia is $10AUD
With purchases totalling $50AUD and over, your order will qualify for free shipping.

 

When will I receive my purchase?
Blue Jacar aims to deliver within the time agreed upon when you checkout. Under normal circumstance, you will be able to receive your purchase within 5-7 working days. During peak period or government restrictions (such as COVID-19 pandemic), please expect to receive your package in at least 14 working days or more.
However, we are unable to guarantee that all orders will be delivered within the stipulated time frame. Our aim is to have your items shipped out from our warehouse as fast as possible except some circumstances where unfortunately it is beyond our control, for example courier service delays, emergency, items out of stock or public holiday.

CANDLES

How long will a Blue Jacar Home candle burn for?
A 285g Blue Jacar Home Candle can burn up to 45 hours. As our crystal candles has 2 cotton wicks, the burning time would be roughly 30 hours if you burn both cotton wicks at the same time.

 

Please kindly note that we aim to ensure all of our candles are as long lasting as possible. However, burn times do vary based on a variety of factors, which includes candle maintenance, the length of each continuous burn time, candle placement, and the age of the candle.

 

Do I need to trim the candle wicks?
Yes. While the wax level drops, the wicks effectively become longer. We sincerely advise that you trim the wicks and ensure they’re upright prior to each new burn. We recommend using a Blue Jacar Rose Gold Wick Trimmer to properly trim your wick and prevent any burnt wick from falling into the wax.
 
Why do I need to stop burning the candle when there is 15mm of wax left?
Discontinue burning your candle when there is 15mm of wax less. Otherwise,  there may not be enough wax left in the candle to absorb the heat of the flame, this will lead the glass to becoming very hot and/or to become cracked.
 
Is it safe to put dried flowers/herbs in a candle?
Adding dried herbs and/or flowers into the hot wax during the candle-making are actually gives fragrances and texture to the candle. We will suggest you remove the dried herbs and/or flowers before burning to prevent them from catching alight. Blue Jacar recommend to use the Dried Flower Candles as decoration only.
 
Why sometimes I can’t smell the candle when it’s burnt?
Sometimes our noses can become “nose blind” (or “olfactory fatigue”) to scents that we get use to and we tend to not notice them anymore. If you can no longer smell your candle, it does not mean the scent has disappeared; more than likely your brain had enough and switched off so you no longer notice the scent.

 

How many candles will make a room smell good?
According to research, use about one 8 oz candle for every 10 square foot of space. Each Blue Jacar Home Collection scented soy candle is roughly 3 oz.  So, a larger living room might require three to four (small) candles to make the whole room smell amazing. So, the more is always better!
 
Why do I need to burn my candle at least 3 hours for the first time?
We say that the wax has a burning memory. So, the candle’s first burn is an important step to avoid tunnelling. Your goal on a first burn is to fully melt the top layer evenly, to ensure your candle pools completely across all of the wax. In the meantime, you can also adjust the decorations (such as dried flower/herb and/or crystal) away from the wicks. If you do not, a “tunnel” will form in the centre of the candle, creating a memory ring. Once your candle starts tunnelling, you will lose all that peripheral wax surface area for future burns.
 
Is there anything special about your candles?
The wick is the soul of our candles. Our wicks are 100% cotton and we use natural cotton fibres for our candles, which we import from the USA, to guarantee that it will burn perfectly. We also use 100% natural soybean wax, and the best perfumes or our natural essential oils for our candle.
 
Are your essential oil pure?
Yes, our raw materials are sourced from various parts across the world. We also guarantee that our essential oils are 100% natural and pure, and that no base oils have been added.

 

Do you have certificates or any test reports?
Yes, we have the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) certificate and our candle factory has the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) certificate. We cooperate with Russia Disneyland for Party Candles, and the USA Dollar Tree market.
 
How do we use the Diffuser Ornaments?
Our Blue Jacar Diffuser Ornaments can be hung inside of your wardrobes or put inside your chest of drawers to fragrance your clothes. It can also be used as a wax melt to add a pleasant aroma to a whole room.
What is the fusing point for the Blue Jacar Diffuser Ornament?
The fusing point for Blue Jacar Diffuser Ornament would be about 45 degrees Celsius. So, please make sure the room temperature is the right fit for our lovely hanging candles.
